Poplar is one of the fast-growing trees that are found throughout the Northern Hemisphere. Poplar wood is whitish or light brown without knots. The wood is also soft and light. However, it is very strong, durable and adaptable to different environments as well as warp-resisting once it is dried. It has straight grain, even texture, medium weight and excellent intensity and stability. Easily cut and sanded, poplar has oblique edge that helps to resist crack. It is applicable to making boxes and also the face/back veneers of plywood and blockboard for its whitish and even texture.
II. Okoume
Heartwood is salmon pink or light pinkish brown. Its sapwood is narrow, whitish and not obviously different from heartwood. Medium texture, straight grain, bright luster and little chromatism as well as free of knots. Therefore, it is often used for the face and back of plywood.
Woodworking:
Although the grains are interlocked and somewhat troublesome for processing, Okoume is preferred by its excellent nail and screw holding property as well as easily being painted and polished.
Application: Furniture, high-class joinery, boat building, panel, plywood and decorative veneers.
III.Meranti
Straw yellow or yellow brown heartwood, meranti has moderately coarse grain shallowly interveined and low luster. The dried materials have no peculiar smell. It can be easily processed by hand or machine. After being glued, it has good gluing and nail-holding property. It is often used for fine carpentry, furniture components, plywood, panel and light construction materials.
IV. Radiata pine
Originated in California, radiata pine is widely planted in the southern hemisphere including New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. Comparatively speaking, it is free of knots and has excellent physical and mechanical properties. It can be easily processed and polished with good screw holding properties.
V. Hardwood
We use Chinese local hardwood, mainly eucalyptus and other mixed tropical hardwood(MLH) from Malaysia to produce plywood. When using, we match the colors of different wood species well and pay much attention to their mechanical performances. Generally speaking, MTH has hard woodiness, high density and good nail-holding property. It can be easily processed and matched with soft wood to make cement panels. It is often used in construction, shelving and furniture components.
VI. Birch characteristics
Originated in northeast and northern China, birch has exquisite woodiness with whitish or light yellow color. There are beautiful grains in its root, knots and sectional faces when cut. Birch is often used for the face/back of plywood, door and cases for decoration.
4. Why choose Baifar Plywood?

5.
Application
Baifar Plywood is structural use that has many capacities: Bracing, flooring, roofing, shelving, concret formwork caldding, truck, decks, containers, furniture, decoration, packaging, pallets or any applications where a strong and durable product is required.
A. Exterior grade plywood (WBP - Weather and Boil Proof): is specially made using a water-resistant adhesive to withstand a certain amount of moisture and can be used for outdoor constructions - sheds etc. and is sometimes used as a cladding material, particularly for insert panels under windows. WBP does require additional protection (paint or varnish) to protect the outer veneer.
B. Internal plywood(MR-Moisture Resistant): is of a similar quality as Exterior grade but it does not use water resistant adhesive. It can be used for wall panelling, flooring and furniture.
